Jerry W. Reece General Manager Northeast Arkansas District Fair |
"As Entertainment
Director and General Manager of the Northeast Arkansas District Fair, it has
been my pleasure to work with Sonny Simmons founder of Century II Promotions. Together we have brought many major
country and gospel acts to the Northeast Arkansas District Fair. Some 30 years ago Sonny Simmons
began teaching me the business from contracts and riders to sound and lights. I must say without hesitation he was instrumental
in making our venue successful over the years. During my years as a member,
officer, and president of the Arkansas Fair Managers Association, year after
year Sonny would bring outstanding showcase talent to our annual convention
at no cost to the association. Over the years I watched Sonny
increase his staff to include one of his future greatest assets, his daughter
Teresa. At some point of my
association, it came to pass that all my business dealings at Century II was
with Teresa. I can say without a
doubt, I have complete confidence in Teresa’s ability to continue the
family business. With her
knowledge and experience in the production of entertainment, I will continue
to do business with Teresa Simmons Presents, Inc. (After all she was trained by the
best). I highly recommend her company
to anyone involved in the entertainment business. I know she will continue to work in
the manner set forth by her father.
My best wishes to Teresa in her endeavors to carry the legacy of
Century II to the next phase. I
look forward to continuing this long and successful working relationship with
her company in the future." |

“We had an unfortunate incident, where the artist had to cancel three weeks prior to our concert due to illness. Teresa Simmons was on the phone with me promptly. Moving quickly we had another artist booked within 18 hours. The new artist was less money, still we had one of our largest crowds ever.

“I worked with Teresa's dad, Sonny Simmons for over twenty one years. He and his company, Century II Promotions was the exclusive agent for The Fox Brothers for most of that time and up until his death in 2007. Sonny was a great mentor and a great friend to me and my brothers.
During our years with Century II,
we got to know Sonny's daughter, Teresa, very well especially since she
was assigned to us as our main representative. She worked with me
personally with all of our tour coordination and
routing. Actually, because of her vision, I credit Teresa in
helping us during our early years with our booking and showcasing, which
eventually led to our signing with Century
II. The more that I have worked with Teresa, the
more I have respected her enthusiasm and vision. I've watched as
Teresa scheduled some of the largest superstars for events in the
largest venues in
Today, I can say that my wife, Beverly, and I consider Teresa and her family as some of our best friends. She truly has a passion and love for the music business and at the same time has a true love for her family and children. I heartily recommend Teresa and her new company, Teresa Simmons Presents to any fair, festival, or venue, no matter how large or small.
Teresa, congratulations on your rapidly expanding new business venture. With you on our team, The Fox Brothers look forward to many more successful years in the music business!
Sincerely,
Lynn Fox The Fox Brothers”

“The Independence County Fair has been associated with Century II
for many years. The fair association had a very close relationship
with Sonny Simmons. Each year it was like a family reunion when Sonny would
visit our fair. He always did his best to get us brand name acts at a cost we
could afford. The service provided by Sonny and his corporation was a service
of high standard and quality. The fair association had much respect for Sonny
Simmons and Century II. His passing has left a void and he will always be
missed. We are looking forward to continuing our working and personal
relationship with TSPI knowing Sonny's legacy will live on. A respectful
working relationship has formed between TSPI and the Independence County Fair
Association. We are looking forward to many years of excellence and service. Sonny will always remain in our hearts at the Independence
County Fair and will be greatly missed. Pam Lloyd, |
